Blue Horizons Total Alkalinity Reducer 5 Litre
- Otherwise known as TA reducer or hydrochloric acid, is used to lower high alkalinity.

- High total alkalinity (TA) may cause pool water to be scale forming and the pH level difficult to adjust.

Blue Horizons Total Alkalinity Reducer is a liquid acid used for rapidly reducing the total alkalinity of swimming pool water. Apply when the total alkalinity is above the recommended 150mg/l (ppm) maximum.
Blue Horizons Total Alkalinity Reducer Instructions
- Important – This product should be handled with care.
- Blue Horizons Total Alkalinity Reducer should be carefully ‘slug’ dosed into the deep end of the pool with the pump(s) running.
- If large quantities are required, it may be necessary to apply over a number of days while testing the total alkalinity between each application.
- After completing the treatment, test and adjust the pH level if necessary.
